Vatican Notes

Vatican Notes, published continuously since the Vatican Philatelic Society's founding in 1953, seeks to cover all aspects of the philately of the Vatican City State and the Pontifical (Roman) States. It also keeps members informed about Society activities: auctions, new publications, elections, etc.

Vatican Notes strives to be the premier source of research on the philately of the Holy See.  Its contributors in recent years have included such authorities as Frederick Levitsky (Roman States, Vatican City special cancellations); Albert Antonellis (postal stationery); William Wickert (Vatican City); Gregorio Pirozzi (postal history); and Rev. Edward J. Mullowney (Roman States, Vatican City airmail and flight covers).
